Monoprinting with Pearlz

Monoprinting is a serendipitous affair, be prepared to let the paint do what it wants to create some amazing effects! I played with some of the new Shimmerz Pearlz to create a random, blended background.

Here's how I did it........

To create this background I used the new Shimmerz Pearlz - Ballet Slipper, Grey Flannel, Pearl and Morning Mist.

A close up of all of the pearly goodness!

I can't wait to see what you create with the new Pearlz!!

My Little Shoebox Meets Shimmerz

I recieved this really fun video from Erin Payne. She is on the My Little Shoebox DT. Well, not only was I honored, but was just tickled when I saw how silly and fun this video was. These girls are a total crack up!!!! Erin used Shimmerz Spritz as hair spray (Cotton Candy--I think). LOL I love it!!!! :)

Thanks Erin and Heather! You two really made my day.

Paper Cloth with Shimmerz Spritz

Combining fabric and paper into paper cloth is a really fun technique because the result is a flexible paper that doesn't fray. When you use Shimmerz Spritz to add stunningly iridescent color, you certainly take the entire project into the WOW zone.

All you need to complete this technique is:
1. inexpensive muslin
2. (used or new) tissue paper
3. white glue (I used Mod Podge)
4. Shimmerz Spritz.
5. If you'd like, you can also incorporate any extra snippets of paper that you have left-over from other projects and a bit of fine glitter. (I used Art Glitter)

The results are amazing. Just check out this paper cloth that I made with Spritz.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that paper cloth is eazy-peazy-lemon-squeezy to make. You're going to love it!

I hope after watching the videos that you are inspired to make your own paper cloth! I'd love to see your results. Be sure to leave a link with your comment so I can visit your blog and gush over your creativity!

If you would like to re-create the color schemes on my projects. I've included a list of the Shimmerz products that I used below.
